The 20th Kumbh Conclave 2024-25, organized by Think India Council on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, was held at the Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Ekalavya Campus on Sunday. The event witnessed a congregation of distinguished scholars, thought leaders, and dignitaries, fostering an insightful dialogue on India’s cultural, spiritual, and intellectual heritage.

Key speakers included Pujya Swami Paramatmananda Saraswati, General Secretary of Acharya Mahasabha and President of Shivanand Ashram, Ahmedabad; Acharya Manoj Dixit, Vice Chancellor of Bikaner University; Ashok Mehta, Additional Advocate General of Allahabad High Court; and D.L. Gola, the Inspector General of CRPF, Tripura. Prof. Prabhat Kumar Mohapatra, Director of Central Sanskrit University, Ekalavya Campus, along with Saurabh Pandey, Director of Think India Council, also played pivotal roles in orchestrating the event.

The Director of Central Sanskrit University, Jammu Campus, also participated virtually, emphasizing the pan-Indian significance of the conclave. Faculty members from esteemed institutions in Tripura and neighbouring states, including West Bengal, Odisha, and Assam, graced the event with their presence.

In his keynote address, Swami Paramatmananda Saraswati underscored the universal values of peace, unity, and spiritual awakening embedded in the Kumbh Mela tradition. Acharya Manoj Dixit highlighted the historical and cultural importance of the festival in strengthening India’s identity. The session of this conclave was coordinated by Dr. Prakash Ranjan Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Ved, Vedanga, Paurahitya & Karmakanda of CSU, Ekalavya Campus.

The conclave concluded with a vote of thanks, reflecting on the need for continued discourse to ensure the preservation and promotion of India’s rich heritage. This milestone event reinforced the Kumbh Mela’s role as a beacon of spiritual and cultural convergence.
