Jyotiraditya M. Scindia officially assumed his role as Union Minister in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) on Wednesday. He was warmly welcomed by the Minister of State in the Ministry of DoNER, Sukanta Majumdar, along with senior officers of the ministry.
Upon taking charge, Scindia held a meeting with senior officials to review ongoing schemes and projects. Addressing the media, Scindia emphasized the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration to the development of the North Eastern region. He stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has always prioritized the North Eastern region, and we are dedicated to realizing his vision.”
Scindia highlighted the NDA government’s dedication to accelerating the region’s development and setting new benchmarks in progress. His proactive approach reflects a broader strategy to enhance regional growth and connectivity.
Sukanta Majumdar, who assumed office on Tuesday, also expressed optimism about the future. He noted the significant progress made since the NDA government took office and outlined plans to strategize programs for the next 100 days in collaboration with senior ministers.
Majumdar underscored the importance of North Bengal as the gateway to the Northeast, highlighting its crucial role in connecting the region with the rest of the country.
