A special Indian Air Force flight, carrying the bodies of 45 people who died in a fire tragedy in Kuwait, are currently being carried to India.

The flight is expected to arrive in the south Indian state of Kerala at 11 am and then leave for Delhi.

At least 48 people died after a massive fire broke out at a six-storey building in Mangaf city on Wednesday.

The deceased included 45 Indians.

The fire tragedy left 33 Indians injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered condolences and said the Indian embassy is working with local authorities to assist the victims.A high-level meeting was held at the Prime Ministers residence over the tragedy.
