Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha emphasized the important role government officers play in the implementation of development programs while addressing a gathering at the Civil Service Award 2023 program on Friday,. The event was held at Prajna Bhavan, and several departments, districts, blocks, gazetted officers, and non-gazetted officers were awarded in various categories.
In his address, the Chief Minister commended the sincerity and responsibility of the state’s employees and urged them to work collectively to ensure that people receive all the benefits of welfare schemes. He stated that Tripura is making progress in all fields, and this is only possible through the sincere efforts of government officers and employees.
The Chief Minister emphasized the role of government officers in ensuring the rights of the people and the successful implementation of development programs. He further highlighted the importance of a zero-tolerance policy against drugs and the need to raise awareness among students to combat the drug menace.
As part of the program, various departments, districts, blocks, gazetted officers, and non-gazetted officers were awarded in different categories for their outstanding performance in various fields. The Chief Minister congratulated all the recipients for their unwavering commitment towards public service.
Chief Secretary Dr. J.K. Sinha also spoke at the program, along with Principal Chief Conservator of Forest K.S. Sethi, Special Secretary Dr. Sandeep R. Rathod, Principal Secretary Puneet Agarwal, Secretary B.S. Mishra, and Secretary Abhishek Singh, who were all present at the program.
Dr. Saha concluded by stating that the present government is giving the highest priority to quality education, and the pass percentage in the Tripura Board of Secondary Education-conducted Madhyamik and Higher Secondary had significantly increased over the past few years. He also mentioned the infrastructure development taking place in the state to provide students with the opportunity for higher studies within the state. Law College, National Forensic Sciences University, Dental College, Engineering College, and other institutes of higher studies are now functioning in the state.
