The state government would recruit a huge number of nurses and about 600 doctors soon. The process is already put in the pipeline, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb recently in a programme on Thursday.
The Chief Minister also stated that more Community Health Officers (CHOs) would be recruited for Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Sub Health Centres.
In Tripura, 999 CHOs are to be recruited among the students of GNM, ANM, B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing through National Health Mission (NHM), Deb said.
“As of now, 434 Community Health Officers have already been recruited. The figure included 71 GNM, 335 B.Sc Nursing and 15 M.Sc nursing students and the remaining 13 MOs,” Deb said in the programme organized to mark International Nurses Day.
The Chief Minister said, the state government is focusing on transforming all the health centres into Health and Wellness Centres by recruiting CHOs by December, this year and it would be a landmark for the state’s healthcare.
In the meantime the Chief Minister also called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday.
During his meeting with the Home Minister, Deb discussed various important matters regarding organization and development works in the state.
Deb reported to have discussed the party’s strategies for the by-polls to four vacant assembly seats and 2023 assembly elections.
After his meeting with Shah on Friday, Deb tweeted, “Honoured to meet Home Minister of India Adarniya Shri Amit Shah ji at New Delhi today. We had in-depth deliberations regarding development works and organization.”
Earlier on Thursday, the Chief Minister also met BJP chief J.P. Nadda. Deb tweeted that he had a fruitful meeting with BJP national president J.P. Nadda.
“Had a fruitful meeting with BJP National President Shri JP Nadda Ji. During our talks, we discussed Organisational matters and informed him regarding ongoing development works by our Gov’t,” Deb tweeted.
