Two workers from Dharmanagar were injured after being allegedly shot by a Mizoram policeman.
While one of the injured persons- Ramai Reang (39) was shifted to Dharmanagar district hospital, his son- Ratendra Reang (18) remained untraced till the last information poured in.
On Friday, the duo, resident of Lungathir area under Vanghmun police station in North Tripura district, went to Mizoram for work after receiving a call from Mafela, a policeman. When they reached Mafela’s residence in Mizoram, the duo-was asked to bring liquor. They were going to purchase liquor but the policeman reportedly opened fire at them from a revolver.
In such a situation, the father ran away with bullet injuries and managed to reach Khedacherra hospital. The matter was then reported to Vanghmun police station. He was then shifted to Dharmanagar district hospital where the CT scan and other necessary tests were done.
The father was under treatment at Dharmanagar district hospital but no information about his son was available till the last information came in.
