In a significant development for Tripura’s sports community, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha – who happened to be a former national level Badminton player -has been elected as the President of the Tripura Badminton Association (TBA) for the 2025 term. His elder brother, Ratan Saha, also a former Badminton player of national eminence, has been appointed as the Working President in the newly formed executive committee.
The election results were officially declared today, with key office bearers and executive members selected for various posts. The election process was overseen by Returning Officer Rajib Datta, along with observers Bhaskar Rao from the Badminton Association of India (BAI) and officials from the Tripura Sports Council.
