“Congress and CPM are not at all in a position to counter the BJP or oust it from the power. Only Trinamool Congress has got that power”, claimed Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday in a press conference even as he exhorted all other opposition parties to unite against the ruling party.

I appeal to all opposition anti-BJP parties to join our fight against the BJP”,  said Banerjee who arrived here on Monday morning to join the last leg of poll campaign of his party in the civic polls. His visit was also aimed at to be a morale booster for the TMC workers here.

Banerjee claimed that if the electors were given free and fair chance to cast their mandate the BJP would not be able to ‘get even a single seat’ in the AMC.

He said the TMC would form the full-fledged committees in Tripura in right moment.

MP Rajya Sabha Sushmita Dev, West Bengal minister Bratya Basu, party’s Tripura steering committee convenor Subal Bhowmik and other leaders were present in the press conference.

Banerjee on Monday visited the residence of Subal Bhowmik that was vandalized by the miscreants a day before. He held a meeting with the party leaders and workers.
