Buoyed by the joining of Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha Congress in Tripura is now trying to put its home in order to get ready to put up a fight in the next by poll and also in 2023 assembly polls.

Soon after formation of the coordination committee Tripura in-charge Dr Ajay Kumar held hectic meetings with party leaders in Congress Bhawan to chalk out the road map for the poll battle. The meeting was limited to the newly formed seven-member Co-ordination Committee.

Dr Ajay Kumar also requested the former party workers and leaders who had joined the BJP before and after the 2018 elections to return to the good ol’ Congress.

 “We are appealing to all including the old-time Congress leader who had joined other parties to join us in this battle against the BJP”, Dr Kumar said.

“Now we are united and we shall rout the BJP from Tripura”, Dr Kumar maintained.

Gopal Roy former TPCC president said,  “People are fed up with the incumbent BJP government and disillusioned with the Leftists – in such a situation, Congress is the alternative which can free people from the misrule of the saffron party”, Gopal Roy commented.Roy left for Arunachal Pradesh today after the meeting for party programmes as the Pradesh Returning Officer (PRO) of Arunachal Pradesh.
