Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for the second time held a meeting with the MLAs and ministers of different constituencies to discuss development issues.
ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury, who attended the meeting, said MLAs and ministers from Mohanpur, Barjala, Majlishpur, Khayerpur, 8-Town Bordwali and Banamalipur were present in the meeting.
“The Chief Minister discussed the development issues of these areas. The works implemented in the constituencies have been reviewed and the works to be done as per the vision document have also been discussed,” Chowdhury told the media.
According to Chowdhury, the Chief Minister passed necessary instructions to the officers concerned for timely completion of the works.
He also hinted that the state government would fulfil its promise of increasing the allowance for around 4.50 lakh beneficiaries to Rs. 2000.
Chowdhury said, the ADG (law and order) joined the meeting at the last moment but there was no discussion on the law and order issues till he was present in the meeting.
“There is a sub-divisional hospital at Majlishpur, a community health centre at Jirania and primary health centre at Jirania where a good number of people avail facilities. It’s a long standing demand to upgrade the Jirania CHC to PHC. Now, a decision has been taken to introduce all facilities of a sub-divisional hospital at the CHC,” he said.
Chowdhury stated that there was no political discussion in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Monday’s meeting was part of the Chief Minister’s marathon meeting held a few days ago. The MLAs of those areas which were not covered in the last meeting had attended the meeting on Monday.
