Despite financial constraints Tripura government will soon extend Dearness Allowances to its employees, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Den on Monday.
He added that the DA that would be given would, in fact, be the highest, though the Chief Minister did not spell out the percentage of the DA.
“Huge fund that is required to give DA to the employees puts extra burden on the state exchequer. Nevertheless, the government is serious about the issue and I can assure you the DA would be the highest,” he said while giving interview to the media, after his review meeting with the MLAs and Ministers.
In case of other allowances, Deb indicated that budgetary allocation would be made for increasing the allowances as promised in the Vision document.
Deb was speaking to the media Replying to a query, the Chief Minister said, the government already fulfilled around 80 to 90 percent of the promises made in the vision document while the state also witnessed many other works which are not mentioned in the vision document.
Deb said the meeting focused on various development works implemented in the assembly constituencies as well as the works need to be done.
