Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in the state on a one-day visit on March 8, when the BJP-IPFT government will celebrate completion of four years in office.
The Union Home Minister will take part in Bhoomi Pujan of the National Forensic Science University Campus followed by his visit to Mata Tripura Sundari temple.
Sources said, Shah is likely to flag-off multiple flagship programmes and address a public gathering at Swami Vivekananda Maidan.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday held a meeting with the ministers and senior party leaders to discuss the preparations.
The visit of the Union Home Minister in Tripura is significant in terms of the present political scenario.
