Chief Minister Reviews Law & Order, Storm Preparedness and Infrastructure in Statewide Virtual Meeting
In a comprehensive high-level review meeting held via video conference on Friday, Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha issued a series of crucial directives aimed at strengthening the state’s law and order, expediting infrastructural development, and enhancing preparedness for the upcoming storm season. The meeting took place at the State Secretariat and saw participation from senior secretaries and top officials of various departments.

Dr. Saha, who also holds the Home portfolio, instructed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the districts to remain vigilant and ensure that any intelligence regarding the presence of Pakistani nationals in the state is promptly shared with the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. District Magistrates (DMs) were also directed to maintain constant vigilance and immediately alert the administration on any such sensitive issues.

Law and Order, Cybercrime Awareness, and Infrastructure
Reiterating the importance of a robust internal security mechanism, the Chief Minister stressed the need for proactive surveillance and inter-departmental coordination. He emphasized the growing threat of cybercrime and called on the administration to intensify public awareness campaigns. Dr. Saha recommended that regular press briefings be held to educate citizens on the nature of cyber threats and the preventive measures they can take to protect themselves.
In terms of infrastructure, Dr. Saha directed departmental heads to promptly identify and address any bottlenecks in ongoing development projects. He emphasized timely execution and accountability to ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential services to the public.
Storm Preparedness and Emergency Response
With the storm season approaching, the Chief Minister placed special focus on disaster preparedness. He called for preventive measures to minimize disruptions, especially in the power supply sector, and instructed the Power Department to ensure systems are resilient and ready to handle extreme weather conditions.
“All necessary precautions must be taken well in advance to ensure that power supply, essential infrastructure, and emergency response systems remain fully functional during any adverse weather events,” Dr. Saha said.

District-Level Reports and Cross-Sectoral Review
District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police from all districts presented detailed updates on their respective areas. Their reports covered key issues including the status of healthcare services, drinking water supply, education infrastructure, road conditions, and progress in irrigation projects. The Chief Minister reviewed each report, offering guidance and encouraging swift, coordinated action to address challenges.

The meeting was attended by a host of senior officials, including Principal Chief Conservator of Forests R.K. Shyamal, Law Secretary Sanjay Bhattacharya, Special Secretary of the Planning (Statistics) Department Abhishek Chandra, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Urban Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, and Transport Secretary C.K. Jamatia.
Also present were representatives from the Education, Labour, Tourism, Social Welfare, and Information & Cultural Affairs departments, along with senior officers from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.

Chief Minister Dr. Saha concluded the meeting by reaffirming his government’s commitment to good governance through transparency, swift execution of public welfare initiatives, and constant engagement with ground-level officials. He urged all departments to maintain open channels of communication, remain alert, and work collaboratively for the greater benefit of Tripura’s citizens.
