Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha speaks with Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini over brutal torture of a 19-year-old Tripura student in Gurugram, ensuring justice, medical support, and coordinated state intervention amid shocking assault allegations.
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday spoke with the Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, regarding the brutal torture on a state’s girl student in Gurgaon.
According to Dr. Saha, the Haryana Chief Minister assured that he would look into the matter personally and take all necessary steps to ensure justice for the victim.
Dr. Saha also spoke with the victim’s mother and assured her of all possible support from the State Government.
The Chief Minister further directed the Chief Resident Commissioner, Tripura Bhawan, New Delhi to stay by the family’s side and provide all necessary assistance.
On request of the Chief Minister, Social Welfare Minister Tinku Roy visited the hospital to assess the situation and extend support.
Further, the Chief Minister communicated with the office of the Union Health Minister to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the victim.
Meanwhile, the mother of the 19-year-old student from Tripura, currently studying in Gurugram, had alleged that her daughter was unlawfully confined and brutally assaulted for three days by a youth she met online.
According to her, the girl managed to place a distress call to her mother shortly before the situation worsened, expressing fear for her life.
Subsequently, the victim was rescued, and the accused was taken into custody.

It has further been alleged that the accused, who was reportedly in a live-in relationship with the student, confined her at a paying guest (PG) accommodation for three days and, during that period, poured sanitiser on her private parts and set them on fire.
