The opposition CPI-M backed Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) state committee on Thursday accused the BJP government at the Centre and State and alleged of rise in unemployment and corrupt practices in recruitment process in Tripura.
Addressing a press conference the DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb said, “According to the report in the on-going Parliament session, ‘more than 9 lakhs unemployed youth had committed suicide’ in the country and over 60 lakhs posts in various departments of Centre and State are lying vacant. The BJP government has almost locked the door of employment to deprive the unemployed youths “
He alleged, “at a time when starting from the education to the health institutions and hospitals are reeling under acute crisis of manpower, the BJP government is depriving the youths of employment opportunities.”
“Meanwhile, when the government had announced for TSR recruitment in the recent past and accordingly the aspirants were selected, a major section of unemployed aspirants protested the selection process. We believe that there was a huge corruption and money exchange during the entire TSR recruitment process. The BJP’s social media page itself proved it where many selected youths were found thanking the BJP party for their selection, “Deb alleged.
He alleged, “We have seen that the home department of this government had called for recruitment of 500 police constables in the recent past, but later those were also stopped temporarily in the name of COVID pandemic. On the other hand when the notification was issued to temporarily close the recruitment process, on the same day the education minister claimed decline of COVID pandemic and announced reopening of educational institutions in the state. This clearly probes that government is simply cheating the unemployed youths of our state in the name of recruitment.”
He kept on accusing the government over rise in unemployment rate and said, “Even the JRBT had failed to publish the results of the interviews called during previous year. We demand the government to immediately publish the results for the sake of deprived unemployed youths.”
