Bihar Election: NDA orders 5 lakh Rasgullas before results

Must Read

As Bihar eagerly awaits Assembly election results, NDA workers begin grand celebrations in Patna with 500 kg laddus and 5 lakh rasgullas. Confident of victory, BJP and JD(U) leaders prepare for a massive post-result feast and public gathering.

Even before the official Bihar Assembly election results are out, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seems ready to celebrate victory. Exit polls predicting a comfortable win for the ruling alliance have set off a wave of jubilation across the state, especially in the capital city of Patna.

At the heart of these celebrations is BJP state executive committee member Krishna Singh Kallu, who has placed an enormous order for 500 kilograms of laddus to mark the anticipated win. The preparations are taking place in full swing, with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar placed near the massive cooking pan — a symbolic tribute to the leaders seen as architects of the NDA’s success in Bihar.

In keeping with tradition and superstition, workers preparing the sweets have hung a lemon and chillies nearby to ward off the evil eye. However, this year’s preparations have a considerate twist — the laddus are being made with less sugar, ensuring that even diabetic supporters can enjoy the treat.

Kallu expressed optimism following the exit poll predictions, saying,

“The exit poll results are the reward for the hard work of the people of Bihar and our dedicated party workers. This time too, the NDA will form the government once again.”

Massive Feast Planned in Patna

Adding to the festive fervour, the family of Mokama’s influential political leader Anant Singh has announced a grand feast for over 50,000 people in Patna. The preparations are being handled by workers at the residence of Singh’s wife, Neelam Devi, who is leading the arrangements despite her husband’s judicial custody in the Dularchand murder case.

Reports indicate that nearly five lakh rasgullas and gulab jamuns are being prepared for the occasion, alongside a wide variety of traditional dishes. The event aims to unite NDA workers, supporters, and well-wishers in a collective show of confidence and celebration.

The Mokama Assembly team is also organising a special event on November 14, the day of vote counting. Invitations have already been sent to all NDA workers, supporters, and community leaders, with the message:

“Your arrival will be our honour. We are eagerly waiting to welcome you.”

This invitation has created a wave of enthusiasm among NDA supporters across Bihar, as they prepare to mark what they believe will be a repeat victory for the alliance.

Confidence Despite Close Contest

While exit polls have given the NDA an edge, political analysts caution that several constituencies remain closely contested. However, within the NDA camp, the mood is buoyant. Party offices in Patna are adorned with saffron flags, flowers, and banners carrying slogans like “Bihar Phir NDA Sarkar” (Bihar, NDA Government Again).

Volunteers and local party workers have begun distributing sweets in several districts, with firecrackers and celebratory drums expected to add to the festive atmosphere on counting day.

Political observers note that this early celebration reflects the strong grassroots organisation of the NDA, particularly the BJP’s ability to mobilise its cadre swiftly. With both Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) and the BJP displaying visible coordination, the alliance appears confident of retaining power in the politically charged state.

Awaiting the Verdict

As Bihar awaits the final results, the NDA’s pre-result celebrations have already captured public attention. Streets in Patna’s party strongholds are buzzing with anticipation, while sweet shops and caterers are working overtime to meet the huge demand.

If the exit polls hold true, the NDA’s early celebrations could turn into one of Bihar’s biggest post-election feasts in recent years.

For now, the smell of freshly made laddus and rasgullas wafting through the streets of Patna perfectly captures the NDA’s confidence, faith, and festive spirit — a testament to its belief that victory is just around the corner.
