Assam Rifles successfully organised a four-day Student Exchange Programme for Assam Rifles Public School students from Tripura to Assam’s Dima Hasao district, promoting national integration, cultural awareness, youth empowerment, career guidance, and educational exposure through heritage visits and interactive learning experiences.
The Assam Rifles successfully organised a four-day Student Exchange Programme for students of Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Udaipur, Tripura. The educational tour was conducted in Assam’s Dima Hasao district from July 27 to July 30, 2026, providing participants with an enriching blend of cultural, educational, and motivational experiences.
The student delegation received a warm welcome from the Assam Rifles battalion at Haflong, where officials introduced them to the proud history, values, and responsibilities of the force. During the interaction, students learned about the Assam Rifles’ vital role in maintaining peace, ensuring security, and contributing to the overall development of the northeastern region.
The programme was carefully designed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the diverse cultural heritage, historical importance, and scenic beauty of Dima Hasao district. Throughout the visit, participants explored several notable landmarks, including the picturesque Haflong Lake, the Circuit House, and the historic town of Maibang, which is renowned for its rich archaeological and cultural significance. These visits helped students gain a deeper appreciation of the region’s tourism potential and historical legacy.
As part of the educational exchange, the students also visited the Office of the District Commissioner, where they received valuable insights into the functioning of district administration and the coordinated efforts of various government departments in delivering public services and implementing development programmes.
Adding further value to the experience, the Assam Rifles organised a Career Counselling and Motivational Lecture, encouraging students to explore future career opportunities while inspiring them to contribute positively to society. A weapon and equipment display was also conducted, allowing participants to understand the operational capabilities of the force and the responsibilities associated with safeguarding the nation.
The four-day exchange programme concluded on a heartfelt note, with students and teachers expressing sincere gratitude to the Assam Rifles for organising a memorable and meaningful educational journey. Participants described the initiative as an eye-opening experience that broadened their perspectives, enhanced their understanding of India’s cultural diversity, and strengthened their sense of national unity and belonging.
