Defending champions India and Pakistan have received direct entry into the quarterfinals of the men’s and women’s cricket competitions at the Asian Games in Aichi, Japan.
The T20 cricket competitions will be played at Korogi Athletic Park in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture, with the women’s event scheduled from September 17 to 22 and the men’s tournament from September 24 to October 1.
The men’s event features 10 teams, with Afghanistan, Japan and Nepal placed in Group A, and Hong Kong China, Malaysia and Oman in Group B.Shreyas Iyer will captain the Indian men’s team, while Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the women’s side.
