Global crude oil prices retreated today after surging earlier in the session. Brent crude was trading 3.1 per cent down at 97 US dollars and 58 cents per barrel in intra-day trade. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading over 2.6 per cent down at 89 US dollars and 74 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
