Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Chowna Mein presented the state’s annual budget for the financial year 2025-26, totalling around 39,842 crore rupees, with a fiscal deficit of around 966.5 crore rupees in the state Assembly today. This marks an 11.16% increase over the previous year.

He said the budget is based on four pillars: Investing in People, Infrastructure, Economy, and Innovation.

Key allocations include ₹3,000 crore for education, ₹369 crore for health, ₹1,112 crore for agriculture, ₹462 crore for Mission Antyodaya, ₹106 crore for skill development, ₹120 crore for youth & sports, and ₹60 crore for indigenous affairs.

A new initiative, ‘Chief Minister Comprehensive State Rural Road Development Scheme,’ was also announced with a fund allocation of ₹500 crore.
