After scrutiny, all nominations have been declared valid on Friday.
According to the Retuning Officer, there are three returning officers in AMC, they are looking after ward no- 1 to 17, 18 to 34 and 35 to 51.
There are 51 seats. The last date for submission of nomination was November 3 last.
“Scrutiny of the nominations has been done today and all nominations valid. In some wards, the political parties fielded substitute candidates. As per rule, one candidate will be there”, RO Ashim Das told the media.
“After scrutiny, now there are 189 candidates in the AMC polls and 254 nominations have been declared valid”, Saha said.
