The  Common Review Mission (CRM) team visiting  the state to review the work of the National Health Mission in the state expressed their satisfaction at the way the wing was functioning. The 18-member central delegation led by Prof Dr Atul Kotwal examined the picture of health services in North, Khowai and West districts.

Major General Professor Dr Atul Kotwal, Executive Director, NHSRC, CRM, found the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm shown by the Principal Secretary of the Health Department, JK Sinha, and commended the work done in the field of health.

The team also visited Agartala Government Medical College, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Center, various hospitals, health centers and sub-health centers in the state and inquired about health services, mother’s house and ambulance services.

They visited the health facilities at various places including Hajrapara, Kanchanpur, Mungiakami, Nonachhara and Jampui Hill and saw the scale of the service.

The delegation also expressed satisfaction over the increase in awareness of the people in remote areas through Asha Varsa Nibas. The delegation highly praised the non-communicable disease prevention program in various contexts including the “Chief Minister’s Healthy Childhood, Healthy Adolescent Campaign”.
