Infrastructure development and modernization are important criteria for the development of a region. The government is working on a priority basis to protect the basic rights of the people of the state and to develop the infrastructure, stated Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb after inaugurating fire and emergency service station at Kanchanbari in Unakoti district waving a green flag yesterday, said an ICA press communique.
The Chief Minister in the programme said, the government is working to bring developmental benefits to the last person of the society. In this regard, Tripura is moving in a new direction with development and modernization in every field. It is possible to evaluate it only by comparing it with the past in terms of development. People from all parts of the state are benefiting from the overall welfare in every sector. Faith paves the way towards fulfilling one’s goal. Respecting the demands of the people of the region, an initiative has been taken to launch Kanchanbari fire and emergency service station in a short period of time. The Chief Minister hoped that the residents of Fatikroy-Kanchanbari and nearby areas will be benefitted from this initiative.
Minister of fire and emergency service department Ramprasad Pal said, development activities are being carried out in various parts of the state responsibly with respect to the expectations of the people of the state. As a part of this, respecting the demands of the people of Fatikroy area and with the sincere efforts of the local MLA, it has been possible to start this centre at Kanchanbari in a short period of time. He said that the department would consider expanding the services through further infrastructure development of the centre in future with a positive outlook.
Secretary and Director of the department in the programme said, the department is working hard to bring advancement in service delivery. In this case, priority has been given to increase the efficiency of the staff including setting up of fire service stations. Others present in the programme were Minister of SC Welfare department Bhagaban Das, MLA Sudhangshu Das, Secretary of fire and emergency service department Apurba Roy, DM of Unakoti district Uttam Kumar Chakma, and Unakoti Zilla Parishad Chairman Amalendu Das.
