Six young members of Ranirbazar’s Bharat Scouts and Guides received the prestigious Rajya Puraskar Award from Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at Lok Bhawan, Agartala, recognising their dedication, leadership, discipline and commitment to community service.
Bringing pride and recognition to Ranirbazar and the scouting community of Tripura, six young members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides have received the prestigious Rajya Puraskar Award from Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu at a special ceremony held at Lok Bhawan in Agartala on Saturday.
The awardees belong to three different units under the Ranirbazar scouting fraternity: Ranirbazar Scouts Troop, Ranirbazar Open Rover Crew and Mother Teresa Ranger Crew. The six recipients include three Scouts, two Rovers and one Ranger, whose dedication, discipline and active participation in scouting activities earned them the distinguished state-level recognition.
The three Scouts selected for the Rajya Puraskar Award are Kishan Rudra Paul, Abhi Debnath and Dipayon Debnath. In the Rover category, Sourajit Goswami and Kishor Debnath received the prestigious honour, while Jaya Debnath was recognised in the Ranger category.
Receiving the award directly from the Governor at Lok Bhawan made the occasion particularly memorable for the six young achievers. The recognition marks an important milestone in their scouting journey and reflects their commitment to the principles and activities of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The achievement is also considered a significant moment for the Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guides (TSBSG), particularly for its Ranirbazar-based units. The Rajya Puraskar Award recognises the efforts of young members who actively participate in scouting programmes and demonstrate qualities of leadership, teamwork, self-confidence and social responsibility.
The Bharat Scouts and Guides movement plays an important role in developing responsible citizens by encouraging young people to participate in community service, outdoor activities, leadership programmes and various initiatives aimed at personal development. Through these activities, members learn discipline, cooperation, independence and the importance of serving society.
The success of the six awardees has generated happiness and pride among their families, Scout Leaders, Rover Scout Leaders, Ranger Leaders, educational institutions and members of the wider scouting fraternity in Ranirbazar.
Their achievement is expected to encourage more young people to join the Scouting and Guiding movement and actively participate in activities that promote responsible citizenship, social awareness and community development.
