A large python was rescued from the Bidurkarta Chowmuhani area in the heart of Agartala after it was spotted by passers-by, attracting the attention of local residents and creating a brief commotion in the busy locality.
According to local sources, the snake was first noticed by people moving through the area. The unusual sighting quickly drew a crowd of curious onlookers, many of whom gathered to observe the large reptile.
The situation became more challenging when the python entered a vehicle parked nearby. Efforts were then made to determine how the snake could be safely brought out without causing harm to the animal or putting people at risk.
After the incident was reported, Forest Department personnel were informed and initiated efforts to rescue the python from inside the vehicle. The operation attracted further attention from residents and passers-by who watched as officials worked to handle the situation.
Several local residents said they had never seen a snake of such a large size in the area before. The incident also raised questions among people about how the python had reached one of the city’s busy locations.
The presence of the snake in a densely populated urban area highlighted the possibility of unexpected encounters between people and wildlife. However, the circumstances that brought the python to Bidurkarta Chowmuhani were not immediately known.
The incident drew attention to the importance of contacting trained wildlife personnel when snakes or other wild animals are spotted in residential or commercial areas. Attempting to capture, handle or disturb such animals without proper training can put both people and wildlife at risk.
