The country’s foreign exchange reserves declined by 18.3 billion US dollars (USD) to 747.5 billion US dollars during the week ended the 25th of September. According to Reserve Bank of India data, Foreign currency assets, the largest component of the reserves, dropped by 15.5 billion USD to 615.4 billion USD during the week. Gold reserves dropped by 2.5 billion USD to 108.7 billion US dollars. Special Drawing Rights fell by 97 million USD to 18.64 billion USD. The country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund dipped by 86 million to 4.8 billion USD.
