Tripura BJP Kisan Morcha introduces its new state committee as Ratan Lal Nath and Abhishek Debroy call for stronger farmer outreach and organized efforts to advance farmers’ welfare and agricultural development across the state.
The newly constituted State Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Kisan Morcha was formally introduced at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state headquarters in Agartala, where senior party leaders participated in a special organizational meeting focused on strengthening the Morcha’s activities and outreach among farmers.
Tripura Minister Ratan Lal Nath and State BJP president Abhishek Debroy attended the programme and provided guidance to members of the newly formed committee. The meeting combined an introduction session for the committee members with discussions on organizational strategies and the future course of the Kisan Morcha in the state.
Addressing the gathering, Ratan Lal Nath emphasized the importance of standing firmly with the farming community and strengthening the organizational foundation of the Kisan Morcha. He said farmers play a central role in sustaining the state’s economy and that greater organizational attention was necessary to support their interests.
Nath stressed that the Kisan Morcha should become more organized and active at the grassroots level so that it can effectively remain connected with farmers and understand their concerns. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the roots of agriculture and working closely with the people whose livelihoods depend on farming.
The minister said the prosperity of farmers is closely linked with the broader development of Tripura. He expressed confidence that the aspirations of a prosperous state could be achieved by ensuring greater attention to the farming community and by strengthening the agricultural sector.
State BJP president Abhishek Debroy also congratulated all members of the newly constituted Kisan Morcha State Committee. He said their capable leadership and coordinated organizational efforts would help make the Kisan Morcha stronger in the coming days.
Debroy underlined the importance of ensuring the welfare of the state’s farmers, referring to them as the “annadata” or providers of food. He called upon the newly appointed members to work with dedication and build a stronger organizational platform focused on farmers’ interests.
The meeting was attended by State Secretary Kamal Dey, Kisan Morcha State president Pradip Baran Roy and other senior party leaders. Discussions during the programme focused on organizational strengthening, coordinated activities and expanding the Morcha’s engagement with the farming community.

The introduction of the new committee marks an organizational push by the Tripura BJP’s Kisan Morcha to strengthen its grassroots presence and intensify outreach among farmers.
