Tripura Minister Sushanta Chowdhury inaugurated the new Ranirbazar Revenue Circle office under Jirania Sub-Division, highlighting administrative modernisation and citizen-centric governance. He also distributed 130 PMAY 2.0 work orders, SHG loans worth Rs. 37.30 lakh, and welfare benefits for fishermen.
Tripura Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the Ranirbazar Revenue Circle under the Jirania Sub-Division, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to strengthening administrative infrastructure and ensuring faster, more efficient, and citizen-friendly public service delivery across the state.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Minister said the state government has been working continuously to modernise government offices and improve administrative infrastructure ever since assuming office. He recalled that many government establishments had previously lacked adequate infrastructure and suitable working conditions, affecting both employees and the quality of public services.
Chowdhury stated that the newly constructed office building represents much more than an administrative facility. According to him, it reflects the government’s commitment to bringing government services closer to the people by ensuring that citizens receive faster, easier, and more effective administrative assistance at their doorstep.

The Minister said the new building has been equipped with modern amenities to provide a better working environment for government officials and staff. Improved infrastructure, he noted, will help employees perform their duties more efficiently while also enabling the public to access various government services in a smoother, quicker, and more organised manner.
He further emphasised that enhanced administrative infrastructure is essential for promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance. The establishment of modern office facilities, he added, will significantly improve the speed of official work, reduce inconvenience for citizens, and strengthen public confidence in government institutions.
Highlighting the government’s development agenda, Chowdhury said improving administrative infrastructure remains one of its key priorities. He noted that modern government offices play a crucial role in ensuring responsive governance and effective implementation of welfare schemes. The Ranirbazar Revenue Circle office, he said, will serve as an important administrative centre for the local population while supporting efficient delivery of public services.
Apart from inaugurating the office building, the Minister also distributed 130 work orders under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) 2.0. Each selected beneficiary will receive government financial assistance of Rs. 2.50 lakh for the construction of a permanent house under the flagship housing scheme. The initiative is expected to provide secure housing to eligible families and improve their quality of life.

In another significant initiative during the programme, loans amounting to Rs. 37.30 lakh were sanctioned to six Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The financial assistance aims to promote self-employment, strengthen rural entrepreneurship, and enhance livelihood opportunities for women and community-based organisations across the region.
The Minister also distributed various welfare benefits among local fishermen, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting the fisheries sector. The assistance is expected to improve the socio-economic condition of fishing communities by providing resources and support for sustainable livelihoods.
Addressing the gathering, Chowdhury reiterated that the government remains dedicated to inclusive development through improved infrastructure, effective governance, and targeted welfare programmes. He said that investments in administrative facilities and public welfare schemes are intended to ensure that development reaches every section of society.
