In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, India defeated the Netherlands by 95 runs in a Group A match at Headingley in Leeds last night. Batting first, India posted a formidable 209 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs, powered by Smriti Mandhana’s 74 and Shafali Verma’s 55.
In reply, the Netherlands were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs. For India, Shree Charani starred with a four-wicket haul, while Shafali Verma picked up three wickets and Nandani Sharma claimed two. Smriti Mandhana was adjudged Player of the Match.
