In Men’s Cricket, India defeated Afghanistan by 170 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series in Lucknow to take an unassailable 2-nil lead.
Put in to bat first, India posted a massive 402 runs in 49.5 overs before being bowled out, powered by Shubman Gill’s 154 and Ishan Kishan’s 125. For Afghanistan, Nangeyalia Kharoti picked up four wickets, while Rashid Khan claimed three.
In reply, Afghanistan were bundled out for 232 in 44.3 overs. For India, Arshdeep Singh and Gurnoor Brar each picked up three wickets, while Prince Yadav claimed two. Shubman Gill was adjudged the player of the match. The third and last match will be played in Chennai on Saturday.
