Central team visits Muhuripur Primary Health Centre in South Tripura for National Quality Assurance Standards evaluation, highlighting healthcare improvements, upgraded infrastructure, and enhanced patient care under the leadership of Dr. Rakesh Choudhury.
A central assessment team on Monday visited the Muhuripur Primary Health Centre in South Tripura district to conduct an evaluation for National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification, marking an important step towards strengthening healthcare services in the region.
The two-day assessment was initiated following an application submitted by the Medical In-Charge of the health centre, Dr. Rakesh Choudhury, who has been leading several initiatives aimed at improving the overall functioning and infrastructure of the facility. Over the past few years, the health centre has reportedly witnessed notable upgrades in patient care services, cleanliness, medical management systems, and healthcare delivery mechanisms.
The visiting central representatives, Samiran Sharma and Bijoy Chandra Jha, carried out a detailed inspection of different sections of the primary health centre. The team reviewed various operational aspects, including patient service systems, treatment facilities, hospital administration, infrastructure maintenance, and the overall quality of healthcare provided to patients.
Officials associated with the assessment stated that the evaluation process is designed to ensure that healthcare institutions maintain high standards of medical services and patient safety under the National Quality Assurance framework. The certification, if achieved, is expected to further enhance the reputation and efficiency of the Muhuripur Primary Health Centre.
The visit also generated optimism among local residents, many of whom expressed hope that the inspection would contribute to further improvements in medical facilities and healthcare accessibility in the area. Residents appreciated the continuous efforts undertaken by Dr. Rakesh Choudhury and the hospital staff in upgrading the health centre and ensuring better treatment services for the community.
