Tripura CM Manik Saha expresses uncertainty over attending the TTAADC oath ceremony on April 27, citing protocol requirements while assuring full administrative support and confirming that all necessary official approvals have been completed.

Uncertainty surrounded the participation of Chief Minister Manik Saha regarding the upcoming oath-taking ceremony of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, scheduled for April 27, after he refrained from confirming his attendance during a media interaction on Thursday.

Responding to a direct question, the Chief Minister maintained a cautious stance, indicating that his presence would depend on official protocol rather than personal discretion. He emphasized that such ceremonial events are governed by structured administrative procedures and obligations that must be carefully reviewed before any final decision is made.

“I cannot say anything in advance. These events are organized as per protocol, and there are certain requirements that must be fulfilled,” he said while speaking to a local news channel following a press briefing earlier in the day. His response hinted at a deliberate approach, reflecting the importance of institutional norms in state functions.

Despite the ambiguity surrounding his attendance, the Chief Minister assured that the state government is extending full cooperation for the smooth conduct of the ceremony. He confirmed that all necessary administrative approvals have already been granted from his office.

“As far as I know, the Law Secretary will administer the oath of office. I have cleared all official files requiring my approval,” he added, signaling that procedural formalities are well in place.

The oath ceremony of the TTAADC holds political significance, as it reflects the functioning of autonomous governance structures in the state. While the Chief Minister’s attendance remains uncertain, the administration appears committed to ensuring that the event proceeds without disruption.
