In Tamil Nadu, with campaigning ending on April 21st, political rhetoric and verbal duels have reached their peak. Top leaders from all parties are visiting the state for a final push. Today, Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah is scheduled to campaign in Sivagiri, Erode, to support the NDA alliance. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the state to boost the alliance’s prospects.
On the opposition side, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi campaigned in the northern districts. Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, also joined the trail, campaigning in Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and the Nilgiris in support of the Secular Progressive Alliance. Meanwhile, Kanimozhi campaigned in Vridhachalam for Premalatha Vijayakanth.
