Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) leads World Health Day awareness drive with walkathon, workshop, and outreach programs, promoting science-based healthcare, hygiene awareness, and community participation to build a healthier society in Tripura.

The Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences (TIPS) took a leading role in promoting public health awareness on World Health Day, organizing a series of impactful programs across Agartala on Tuesday. Aligning with this year’s global theme, “Together for Health: Stand with Science,” the institute underscored the importance of scientific approaches and community engagement in fostering a healthier society.

The day-long observance began with a vibrant walkathon starting from Rabindra Bhavan, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and local residents. The rally passed through key city routes before returning to its starting point, symbolizing a unified commitment to health, hygiene, and preventive care. Participants carried placards and raised slogans encouraging people to adopt science-based health practices in their daily lives.

Speaking to reporters, Dr. Saurav Dutta of TIPS emphasized the significance of the initiative. “Our efforts are aligned with the global call to stand with science and ensure that health awareness reaches every section of society. We believe informed communities are the backbone of a healthier future,” he stated.

Extending their outreach beyond public rallies, TIPS representatives visited the State Children Home for Girls in Abhoynagar. During the visit, they distributed gifts and interacted with the children, highlighting the importance of hygiene, nutrition, and clean living habits. The initiative aimed to instill essential health values among young minds and encourage them to adopt healthy lifestyles from an early age.

Adding an academic dimension to the observance, TIPS organized a workshop titled “Hospital Administration and Its Future in Healthcare” at its Assembly Hall. The session witnessed active participation from healthcare professionals, students, and experts, who engaged in insightful discussions on the evolving landscape of hospital management. Key topics included technological advancements, patient care efficiency, and the growing importance of administrative excellence in delivering quality healthcare services.

The workshop also explored how modern hospital administration plays a crucial role in strengthening healthcare systems, especially in regions like Tripura, where accessibility and efficiency remain vital concerns. Experts highlighted the need for skilled administrators who can bridge the gap between medical services and patient satisfaction.

Dr. Dutta reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and public welfare. He noted that TIPS would continue to organize such awareness campaigns and educational programs to promote health consciousness across the state. “We aim to be a catalyst for positive change by empowering communities with knowledge and encouraging proactive health practices,” he added.
