Baloch rebels claim over 80 Pakistani security officials were killed in coordinated attacks across Balochistan. The BLA alleges large-scale assaults on military installations, civilian casualties in Gwadar and Turbat, and escalating violence in the restive province.

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale series of coordinated attacks across Pakistan’s Balochistan province, alleging that more than 80 Pakistani security personnel were killed during the operation. The militant group described the offensive as “Operation Herof Phase II”, calling it one of its most extensive actions in recent years.

According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the coordinated assaults lasted nearly ten hours and were carried out simultaneously across multiple districts. The targets reportedly included personnel from the Pakistani military, police, intelligence agencies, and counter-terrorism units. The BLA stated that the attacks were aimed at what it described as key security, military, and administrative installations of the Pakistani state.

The group claimed that its fighters carried out strikes in Quetta, Noshki, Mastung, Dalbandin, Kalat, and several other towns across the province. These locations are considered strategically significant due to their military presence and administrative importance. Local outlet The Balochistan Post reported that these areas serve as crucial operational hubs for Pakistan’s security forces.

In its statement, the BLA alleged that at least 84 members of Pakistan’s security forces were killed, while several others were injured. The group further claimed that 18 security personnel were taken captive during the coordinated attacks. Pakistani authorities have not officially confirmed the figures or acknowledged the reported captives.

The militant organization also asserted that more than 30 government properties were seized or destroyed during the operation. These allegedly included government offices, banks, and prison facilities. Additionally, the BLA claimed responsibility for setting fire to more than 20 vehicles used by security forces and government departments.

The BLA further stated that its fighters were able to temporarily disrupt the movement of Pakistani security forces in several regions, claiming control over certain zones for limited periods. Such assertions, if accurate, would indicate a significant escalation in the group’s operational capabilities, although independent verification remains difficult due to restricted access to conflict areas.

Separately, The Balochistan Post reported that Pakistani security forces conducted an operation in the coastal city of Gwadar. During the operation, forces allegedly attacked a residential compound where laborers were staying. The victims were reportedly members of two families from Tehsil Zehri. The report claimed that 12 people were killed in the incident, including women and children, while around 10 others sustained injuries.

Additional reports from Turbat district indicated that Pakistani forces fired mortar shells into civilian areas of Phulabad. The shelling reportedly killed a 15-year-old boy, while a five-year-old child and two women sustained serious injuries. Following the incident, security forces allegedly began demolishing houses in the area, further escalating tensions and drawing criticism from local residents and rights groups.

The violence underscores the continuing instability in Balochistan, a resource-rich region that has long witnessed conflict between separatist groups and the Pakistani state. Calls for transparency, independent investigations, and civilian protection have intensified amid the rising toll of the ongoing conflict.
