Tripura to host Industries and Commerce Fair 2026 at Hapania from January 29. Featuring 580 stalls, national exhibitors, self-help groups, cultural events and investment opportunities, the fair highlights Tripura’s rise as a North East industrial hub.
The Tripura government is set to organise the Industries and Commerce Fair 2026 from January 29 to February 12 at the Hapania International Fair Ground in Agartala, aiming to showcase the state’s growing industrial potential and attract national investment.
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma announced the details on Wednesday while briefing the media at the civil secretariat. She said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha would formally inaugurate the fair on January 29 in the presence of several senior dignitaries, ministers, legislators and officials.
Among those expected to attend the inaugural programme are Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC) Chairman Nabadal Banik, and local MLA Mina Rani Sarkar. The press briefing was also attended by Director of Industries Dipak Kumar, Industries Secretary Kiran Gitte, and TIDC Chairman Nabadal Banik.
According to the minister, the exhibition will be spread across approximately 60,000 square feet, featuring a well-planned combination of indoor exhibition halls, food courts and visitor-friendly facilities. The fair will host around 580 stalls, making it one of the largest industrial exhibitions organised in the state in recent years.
Participants will include exhibitors from Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Gujarat and Punjab, alongside various central and state government departments, public sector undertakings, private industries and national-level agencies. The diverse participation is expected to strengthen inter-state trade linkages and open new market opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
The stalls will showcase a wide range of products, including handloom and textiles, jewellery, electrical goods, household items, agricultural and horticultural produce, and processed food products. The fair is designed to offer both business networking opportunities and a vibrant shopping experience for visitors.
Minister Chakma highlighted that self-help groups (SHGs) will be provided stalls free of cost, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive industrial growth and women-led entrepreneurship. The official theme of the fair, “Tripura: The Rising Industrial Hub of the North East,” reflects the state’s vision of positioning itself as a key economic destination in the region.
She further stated that Tripura’s industrial reforms and compliance measures across 23 sectors have earned national-level recognition, improving the ease of doing business and boosting investor confidence. The state has also seen a surge in memoranda of understanding signed during industrial summits, translating into tangible investment interest.

To enhance public engagement, the Industries and Commerce Department, in collaboration with the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, will organise cultural performances throughout the fair period. A variety of regional and multi-cuisine food stalls will also operate at the food court, making the event a major attraction for families and tourists alike.
