Chief Minister Manik Saha stresses unity of jaati and janajati to build New Tripura, vows zero tolerance for injustice, highlights BJP-led development, economic growth, peace, and inclusive governance during a major public meeting in Kanchanpur.
Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday emphasized that the vision of Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura—a New Tripura—can only be achieved through the unity of people belonging to all sections of jaati, janajati, and diverse communities. He made these remarks while addressing a massive public meeting organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kanchanpur Mandal in North District.
Addressing a large gathering after participating in a roadshow, the Chief Minister asserted that politics based on division and fear has no place in modern Tripura. “Injustice and hooliganism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Development of janajati communities is not possible without the Bharatiya Janata Party,” Dr. Saha stated firmly.
He said that for years, divisive politics dominated janajati regions, but people are now realizing the importance of unity, stability, and development-oriented governance. Highlighting growing public trust in the BJP, Dr. Saha welcomed 759 voters from 238 families who formally joined the party during the meeting, calling it a strong sign of confidence in the government’s policies.
The Chief Minister said the enthusiasm witnessed in Kanchanpur reflects the future of Tripura. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is showing the right path for the country. People across communities—jaati, janajati, and minorities—have placed their trust in him. Today’s public gathering is a clear reflection of that faith,” he said.
Dr. Saha further noted that the Prime Minister’s vision of New India is gradually transforming into reality. “After Operation Sindoor, New India has emerged. In the same spirit, we are committed to building New Tripura,” he said. He added that the government is working towards establishing new Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Councils (TTAADCs), new municipalities, and a strengthened three-tier panchayat system to ensure inclusive governance.

Despite being a small state, Tripura is steadily moving toward becoming a model state, Dr. Saha said, citing peace, harmony, and coexistence as the government’s core priorities. “With the blessings and guidance of the Prime Minister, we are committed to creating a peaceful Tripura where development reaches every corner,” he added.
Referring to national development goals, the Chief Minister said Prime Minister Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 is not just a slogan. “When the country grows financially, the states grow. When states develop, the nation becomes stronger,” he said.
Dr. Saha highlighted Tripura’s economic achievements, noting that the state ranks second among North Eastern states in terms of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income. “NITI Aayog has declared Tripura a front-runner state, which reflects the success of our governance model,” he said.
He stressed that unity is non-negotiable for sustained development. “If we remain united, there will be no compromise on development. Our Prime Minister has redefined politics, focusing on performance and accountability. We want to bring that same change to Tripura,” he said.
Taking a strong stance on law and order, Dr. Saha said the government will not tolerate violence, crime, or misuse of power—regardless of political affiliation. “We have seen politics of murder, terrorism, arson, and fear in the past. That era is over. Even if someone from our own party commits wrongdoing, they will not be spared,” he warned.
He made it clear that maintaining peace may require firm action. “If force is needed to ensure peace, it will be used. Investors will only come when there is stability and security,” the Chief Minister said.

Dr. Saha also stated that he has directed the Janajatis Welfare Minister to take all necessary steps for the welfare of tribal communities. “Staying in touch with people is not enough. Real work matters. Threats and misuse of authority will not help anyone,” he said.
The meeting was attended by Janajatis Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Youth and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, MLA Jadav Lal Nath, BJP General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, former MP Rebati Tripura, North District President Aparna Nath, BJP District President Kajal Das, Mandal President Birendra Kar, and several other senior leaders.
