Agastya Nanda reveals how music shaped his emotional journey in war drama Ikkis. Praised by Amitabh Bachchan, the film’s powerful soundtrack and heartfelt performances are creating strong buzz ahead of its release.

The makers of the much-anticipated war drama Ikkis have officially unveiled the complete music album of the film, adding to the growing excitement surrounding the project. After releasing several well-received tracks including Sitaare, Ban Ke Dikha Ikkis, Tera Aashiq, and Sajda, the full album has now emerged as a powerful emotional companion to the film’s narrative.

The music of Ikkis has already struck a chord with audiences, praised for its soulful melodies and emotionally charged compositions. For lead actor Agastya Nanda, the album was not just an artistic addition to the film but a deeply personal tool that helped him understand and shape his character as a young soldier.

In a heartfelt statement, Agastya shared how instrumental the music was in preparing for his role. “Seeing the love each song has received has been truly overwhelming. Music played a huge role in helping me understand my character and its emotional journey,” he said. According to the actor, listening to the complete album now feels like reliving his time on set, filled with moments that were honest, emotional, and deeply meaningful.

Agastya emphasized that the music allowed him to connect with the inner world of his character beyond the script. The songs, he noted, helped him access the emotional layers of a soldier’s life—his vulnerability, courage, longing, and quiet strength. For a debut performance in a war drama, such emotional grounding through music proved invaluable.

Actress Simar Bhatia, who stars opposite Agastya as his love interest, echoed similar sentiments about the album’s impact. She described the music as an integral part of the storytelling rather than a background element. “The love the songs have received has been incredibly special. Each track feels deeply emotional and purposeful,” Simar said.

She further explained that the album does more than simply support the film’s narrative. “The music doesn’t just support the film, it becomes a part of the characters, and that’s what makes this album so close to my heart,” she added. Her remarks underline how the songs serve as emotional extensions of the characters, enhancing their relationships and personal arcs.

Beyond the music, Ikkis has also been making headlines due to the strong performances promised by its cast, particularly Agastya Nanda. The young actor has already received high praise from his grandfather, legendary megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who lauded Agastya’s work in the film.

In an emotional blog post, Amitabh Bachchan described Agastya’s performance as “perfection in every shot.” The veteran actor reflected on deeply personal memories while expressing his pride in his grandson’s journey. He recalled the day Agastya’s mother, Shweta Bachchan, was rushed to the hospital during her final labour pains, drawing a poignant connection between Agastya’s birth and his emergence as an actor.

“Emotions flow,” Amitabh wrote, as he revisited moments from holding Agastya as a newborn to watching him grow and eventually choose acting as his profession. He described how he found himself unable to take his eyes off the screen whenever Agastya appeared in Ikkis, a testament to the young actor’s screen presence and dedication.

The megastar’s words added emotional weight to the film’s buzz, highlighting not only Agastya’s performance but also the generational legacy attached to his debut. Coming from one of Indian cinema’s most respected voices, the praise has further elevated expectations around Ikkis.
