India will take on Australia in the ICC Women’s ODI Cricket World Cup at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam today. The match will start at 3 PM Indian Standard Time. Last night, England defeated Sri Lanka by 89 runs at the R. Premdasa stadium in Colombo to register their third consecutive win in the tournament. Chasing a target of 254, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 164 runs in 45.4 overs.
For England, Sophie Ecclestone scalped four wickets, skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt and Charlotte Dean took two wickets each, while Linsey Smith and Alice Capsey claimed a wicket each. Earlier, Sri Lanka Women won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, England scored 253 for 9 in the stipulated 50 overs with the help of 117 runs by skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt. For Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera scalped three wickets, Udeshika Prabodhani and Sugandika Kumari took two wickets each, while Kavisha Dilhari claimed a wicket. Nat Sciver-Brunt was declared Player of the Match.
