Tripura witnessed the grand celebration of Durga Puja 2025 with unmatched devotion, vibrant traditions, dazzling illuminations, and enthusiastic pandal hopping that filled the state with festive joy. The celebrations reflected both the rich heritage of Bengal’s biggest festival and the creativity of the people, who transformed every corner of the state into a hub of spirituality and cultural splendour.

Despite spells of light rainfall, the festive mood remained undampened. From Maha Saptami on September 30 to Bijoya Dashami on October 2, devotees thronged thousands of puja pandals across Tripura. Beginning with Tritiya evening, Agartala was already buzzing with festive energy as several puja pandals were inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who extended his greetings to the people.

Blend of Rituals and Cultural Programs
Beyond the rituals of Durga Puja, the state embraced cultural and musical programs organized by different puja committees. Traditional performances, musical concerts, and dance shows added colour to the evenings, while pandal hoppers enjoyed the authentic taste of the festival.
Food stalls served everything from khichuri and bhog to sweets and street delicacies, making the experience even more delightful for families and visitors. The fusion of spirituality, art, and gastronomy turned this year’s celebrations into a true carnival of joy.

Special emphasis was placed on women’s safety, with women police personnel stationed at major pandals and crowded points. These measures ensured that the festivities concluded without any untoward incident across the state.
