Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan today held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitri Patrushev in New Delhi. During the meeting, both leaders discussed the mutual cooperation in the field of agriculture and food security, which will benefit farmers, consumers and citizens of both countries. Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Chouhan stated that India is looking forward to increasing exports of pest-free grains and potatoes to Russia. He also mentioned that the export potential of fisheries and poultry has been discussed. The Minister mentioned that there had also been a very positive discussion on the exchange of students in the field of Agriculture.
