India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Northwestern parts of the country for the next two days. According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Gujarat, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand till 26th of August. Heavy rainfall is also very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim tomorrow. The weather department has also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over these regions for the next two to three days.
Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR experienced a sudden change in weather throughout the day today, with many parts of the national capital witnessing cloudy skies accompanied by moderate rainfall.
