Syria’s Foreign Affairs Chief, Assad Hassan al-Shibani, has met with an Israeli delegation in Paris to discuss efforts to reduce tensions in southern Syria. The talks, held under U.S. mediation, focused on reviving the 1974 disengagement agreement, non-interference in Syrian affairs, and maintaining the ceasefire in Sweida province.
Earlier, Assad Hassan al-Shibani met with Jordan’s Foreign Minister and the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria in Amman. The three agreed to establish a Syrian-Jordanian-US joint working group to support ceasefire efforts and seek a political resolution to the crisis.
