India’s 79th Independence Day Celebrated with ‘Bharat Parade’ in Berlin

The Embassy of India in Berlin organised a Bharat Parade in Germany to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of India. The Ministry of External Affairs said the ‘Bharat Parade’ marched from Brandenburg Gate to the Sanchi Stupa at the Humboldt Forum. According to the Ministry, nearly a thousand members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India joined the event. Patriotic songs and Indian music accompanied the march, creating an atmosphere of unity and festivity in the heart of Berlin. Addressing the festivities, Ambassador of India to Germany, Ajit Gupte underlined the growth of the Indian diaspora in Germany and commended its contributions to strengthening bilateral relations.
 
 
The Ministry mentioned that as part of the Independence Day celebrations, an array of cultural performances, including Garba, Bhangra and Mallakhamb, were presented, reflecting the vibrancy and diversity of India’s cultural heritage. It highlighted that this year’s celebrations hold special significance as they coincide with the 25th year of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership. It further added that this has reaffirmed the close bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
