Mutual Fund Equity Inflows Soar to Record ₹42,702 Crore in July

Mutual fund equity inflows touched record high of 42,702 crore rupees in July this year, rising sharply from 23,587 crore in June, according to data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI). The surge was led by new fund offerings (NFOs), which mobilised 30,416 crore rupees during the month. 
 
 
Meanwhile, the total net assets under management (AUM) of the mutual fund industry hit an all-time high of 75.35 lakh crore rupees as compared 74.41 lakh crore rupees in June. Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions also touched an all-time high of 28,464 crore rupees. This marks the second consecutive month of record flows, after crossing 27,000 crore rupees in June.
 
 
The inflows have been broad-based across most equity categories, highlighting renewed investor appetite after relatively moderate figures registered in June. Sectoral and thematic funds registered the largest gain, pulling in over 9,426 crore in July. Flexicap funds saw over 7,654 crore rupees in net investments while Midcap funds attracted around 5,183 crore.
 
 
Small-cap schemes inflows rose over 6,484 crore rupees in July, compared to 4,025 crore rupees in June, an increase of around 61 percent. Large and midcap funds saw inflows of around 5,035 crore rupees. Equity Linked Savings Scheme continued to record net outflows, with over 368 crore rupees withdrawn in July. In the fixed-income segment, debt mutual funds saw net inflows of 1.06 lakh crore rupees in the previous month.
