Agartala, Nov 11: Tripura unit of Trinamool Congress (TMC) will organize a state-level rally at the capital city on November 14 next, the party’s Tripura In-charge Rajib Banerjee said on Friday.

Banerjee said that the party would show its strength on November 14 next through a mass gathering in front of Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala.

Announcing the details of the programme in a press conference at the party state office in Agartala, he said,  the rally will start from Gandhighat here at 11am on Novermber 14 next, he added.

The party state in-charge said, “We will give a message in the rally that we would always stand by people of the state”.

He gave the announcement that Chandi Bhattacharya, former working president of 9-Banmalipur block Congress joined TMC.

TMC MP to Rajya Sabha, Sushmita Dev welcoming Bhattacharya to the party and expressed her hope that the organizational strength of TMC will increase in Banmalipur constituency with the joining of the former Congress leader.

 

Besides, the party also announced the name of 20 youth Trinamool Congress block presidents across the state.

 

Dev informed media that the party has already prepared 40 block organizations in the state and women organizations in 12 organizational districts so far.

She said, “We have been working on the ground for the last one year to strengthen our organizational base in the state. The result of one year work will be reflected on November 14 through the mass rally against ruling BJP’s bad governance.”

Dev also announced that the party will soon announce the name of its new state president. 

TMC Pradesh Youth president Santanu Saha and other leaders attended the press conference.
