Agartala, Nov 11: Tripura Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning seven new projects worth Rs 10,222 for the state.

Addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters in Agartala, the state chief spokesman Subrata Chakraborty said, the conversion of two-lane Churaibari to Agartala NH-08 into 4-lane road would bring new horizon in the communication between Tripura and Assam. It would also reduce time as well as cost of transportation.

Highlighting the other benefits of the new projects, he said, the local people would get earning opportunities, the workers would get employment during construction of roads and poor people would be benefited.

Chakraborty said the central government is working on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas’ mantra for Tripura following which the people of the state are getting the benefits of double-engine government.

The party spokesperson Ashmita Banik was also present in the press conference.
