President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh beginning today. During her visit, she will grace various events in Bareilly and Gorakhpur. We have a report:
Akashvani correspondent reports that on the first day of her visit, President Droupadi Murmu will attend the 11th convocation ceremony of the Indian Veterinary Research Institute in Bareilly. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar, who hails from Bareilly, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary will also attend the event. After attending the event, President Droupadi Murmu will fly to Gorakhpur. In Gorakhpur, she will participate in key events at three major institutions and cover 129 km across the city by road in two days. The resident will grace the inaugural convocation of AIIMS Gorakhpur, where she will confer medals on meritorious students. On June 1, the President will inaugurate Uttar Pradesh’s first Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in the morning. In the afternoon, she will inaugurate the academic block, auditorium, and Panchkarma Centre and lay the foundation stone for the girls’ hostel at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University’s Arogyadham campus in Sonbarsa. Additionally, she will visit the Gorakhnath Temple on both days, where a special darshan and prasad ceremony have also been scheduled. High security arrangements have been made in Bareilly and Gorakhpur, given the President’s visit.
