Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra has said that the action against Popular Front of India is based on the evidence. Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Mr. Mishra said, if PFI would not have been dangerous then why would they have been banned.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Minister for IT-BT and Higher Education Dr. C N Ashwatha Narayana has welcomed the Central Government’s decision to ban PFI and its sister agencies. Speaking to media persons in Ramanagara today, Mr Narayana said that PFI was funded from abroad to create communal disharmony in India. He also informed that the state police had raided over 15 locations yesterday to apprehend PFI cadres as a precautionary measure.
Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru, Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani said that PFI was a threat to internal security. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for taking a bold decision to ban PFI. Former Minister and senior BJP leader K S Eeshwarappa also welcomed the Central Government’s decision to ban PFI.
