India’s all-party delegations spread strong anti-terror message globally under Operation Sindoor –

As part of India’s continued efforts under Operation Sindoor and in line with India’s principled and resolute stance against terrorism, seven all-party delegation comprising Members of Parliament is in different countries with their outreach programme. The delegations are conveying India’s strong message of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
 
 
The all-party delegation led by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor met the President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Defence of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies, Federal Deputy Filipe Barros. Earlier, the delegation also met Brazil’s Secretary General of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Maria Laura da Rocha, at Itamaraty Palace. They also called on the India-Brazil Friendship Front, headed by Brazilian senator Nelsinho Trad.
 
 
The delegation will now be travelling to the US for its last leg of the visit. Talking to the media, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has said that in Washington, they have a series of meetings set up with the entire range of government officials, legislators, senators, congressmen, influential think tanks, media and various committees in the House and the Senate, and some public addresses. 
 
 
On the Pakistani delegation’s Washington visit on the same day as the Indian delegation, Mr. Tharoor said that there’s going to be an increase in interest because of the fact that there are two duelling delegations in the same city.

Earlier, the delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde held a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Liberia, Richard Nagbe Koon and the Group of Representatives. The delegation also met the President of the Republic of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, along with Liberia’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Sarah Beysolow Nyanti. Talking to the media, Mr. Shinde said that all the countries that the delegation visited have extended assurance and support in India’s fight against terrorism. He said that terrorism is not between the two nations but has spread beyond borders. 
 
 
After completing its visit to Russia, Latvia, Slovenia, Greece and Spain, the all-party delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will arrive in India today.
 
 
All-party delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda will be returning to New Delhi today after visiting Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Algeria. Talking to the media BJP MP Baijayant Panda has said that biggest takeaway of the delegation’s visit is that the willingness of these countries to cooperate India, to support India, to work with India at multilateral institutions – whether it is the UNSC or to represent India’s viewpoint in the OIC or several other forums.
